Nir2 expression modulates cell morphology

The effect of Nir2 on cell morphology was assessed upon Nir2 overexpression and downregulation. Its downregulation induced epithelial-like phenotype, while its upraegulation mesenchymal, with reduced cell-cell contacts mediated by tight junction (Zo-1) and adherens junctions (E-cadherin).
